Week 6

Stats
Belly - 35 inches
Weight - 146.6 lbs

How I am feeling:
This week I am mainly really tired, around 3 I feel like I have to lay down and take a nap than I can still go to bed around 9 and sleep through the night (if granted that rare opportunity). Along with the laziness comes an increased appetite which I think has very little to do with the baby and more to do with me being lazy and not staying quite as busy which allows for more eating opportunities. (plus Josh had a tendency to spoil me when I'm pregnant, so I get about anything I ask for (food wise) expect for last night when I demanded a Giovanni's pizza bread and he couldn't make that happen, but we are going to the store today to get the ingredients to try.

Thoughts:
I am starting to become less concerned with the sex of the baby and more concerned with space for the baby. Our apartment is very small and when I picture all the stuff the baby will use (swing, bouncy chair, play pin, bassinet, changing table, and various other stuff) I get a little nervous and in the mood to get rid of anything I don't feel is a necessity. The baby won't be here for 8 months but it feels like I am just ignoring the issue if I do nothing to try to prepare and make more space, however short of moving or having some construction workers come in I don't think more space is something that I can control, so I am trying to make peace with it! (we will see how that goes :-/ )

Dylan:
I think he will get excited when he can actually see my stomach getting larger (from baby not Taco Bell) and be able to feel it kick and see the ultrasound and all those fun things. Right now the biggest issue is teaching him to be careful near my stomach (for good practice) and my chest which feels like it is always exploding. I never realized how much we wrestle and jump around and play, so not kicking me and jumping onto my belly has been more of an issue than we realized. But he understands. Sometimes he does it on purpose (which is a whole other issue) but he's a good boy and although he is very confused and thinks that in 8 months (or when it snows, which is the timeline we gave him) that I will poop the baby out, never the less I think he will be excited!

This weeks major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that we will spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape.

Baby's Size: 1/4 of an inch - (about the size of a lentil bean)
