16 Weeks!!

So I am super excited because today marks 16 weeks, and so far it is flying by and I know with the holidays that the baby will be here before we know it.

I went shopping today and found an awesome deal that I have to share.......
I found this baby winter jacket thing with the original Toys R Us tags of 29.99 on it, for sale today at a thrift store for $8.00!!! So I had to buy it!! (Josh is so sick of me being so excited about it, but I can't help myself, and it's the first thing I have bought for the baby)

What do you think!?!?!

Also...I have decided that it is now time to share the first belly photo! I am going to try to update the belly photo weekly so I have a good record of it.....

Also...thanks for voting on the baby names!!

Baby(s) Weight....I hope

At my last appointment, the first words out of my doctors mouth were, "You have had quite the weight gain this month." He went on to tell me that he didn't care that much and thought I looked fine, but the others doctors were real sticklers for weight and that I better start calorie counting, cutting back, and switching to healthier alternatives. I was a little embarrassed and shocked, I knew I had gained weight, but mostly blamed it on cravings and being bloated and constipated. However, in my moment of complete embarrassment I told him that there must be like 3 babies in there (Josh would kill me, but I think I was secretly hoping I was having multiples just for the sake of having a reason to have gained so much weight). So it got me to thinking and I took a look at my records from when I had Dylan. I am currently 14 wks pregnant now, and I weigh.........................160......and when I was 14 wks with Dylan I weighed 148, so that 12lb difference is quite substantial I suppose. So my goal is to have lost weight by Sept. 21st, my next appointment......so I will keep you updated on that. I know I can't stop eating, so my only choice is to move more, so I suppose exercise is in my future....guess I'm headed to the gym :-/.....

I was going to post my favorite picture of my baby belly, but since I think its more of a Taco Bell/McDonald's belly....I'll give it a few more months.

On the baby front:
He is the size of a lemon & I have definitely felt his flutters!!

Week 13

Stats: Belly: 39 inches Weight: 160 lbs

Its a boy! (we think)
Well, we have some exciting results from a test we took keep in mind that it is only 80% accurate, however.....I have always seen myself with all boys! :-)

These last couple of weeks have been very hectic, but Dylan and Josh both started school today, so hopefully things will settle down and we will fall into a nice routine soon.

Pregnancy wise I am so happy to be out of my 1st trimester I am not quite as tired and I started working out (since my doctor said I was gaining too much weight) I tried to tell him that food is all I think about, but he didn't consider that a very good reason, so hopefully I can be a healthier momma for this little peanut by next month.

Apparently at preschool today Dylan broke the news to his teacher, by saying his usual line which is, "mommy has my sister in her belly and I have the brother in my belly'....she was excited for him but asked Josh at pickup time to clarify......I love that he loves and trust his teacher, but I can only imagine the stories he tells his since he is never at a loss for words.

Sorry for the delay of posting.....I am going to try to be better about it.....

The next doctors appointment is in about 3 weeks, and I am hoping the schedule and ultrasound!! but it will more than likely be for the next appointment in October....I am just so anxious to know for 100% not to mention that if it is a boy we are going to have to convince Dylan that he wants a brother since he is pretty set on a sister.

p.s. I could be crazy, it may be gas, but I swear I felt the baby while I was writing this blog post tonight.

Week 7

Stats

Belly - 36 inches
Weight - 150 lbs

How I am feeling:
Still a little nauseous which sucks! It makes me feel out of shape, which I am. Today I was watching 16 and pregnant on MTV (while laying on the couch and eating combos :-/), and they were talking about how the labor was so much easier for this girl, because she had been in great shape, so it got me to thinking that I need to be in better shape, so I think I will save that for my second trimester when the nausea and acne (which is lovely) passes, and I start to feel more productive and less like a couch potato (thank GOD that I now have a comfy couch to be a potato on!!)

Thoughts:
Today I did get moving a bit in the house. I got a new job so I want to have everything in order when it starts on the 20th! So today I did the move of the dog kennel into the kitchen/living/dining area and the cubby (minus some dirty clothes and an empty bookshelf) is ready to be turned into the baby area. We are going to treat it kind of like a second bedroom except we know better than to put a bed in there since chances are just like Dylan this baby will be in our room. So maybe instead of a crid we should just buy a king size bed!!! (brillant!! I need to run that by Josh!!).

Dylan:
Not to much to report on the Dyl front. Although he is completely obessed with watching this video....

http://www.babycenter.com/2_inside-pregnancy-weeks-1-to-9_10302602.bc?intcmp=Nav_Global_photosandvideo_inside&pn=BC%20Homepage

I was watching it the other day and he came in and was like what is that, when I said this is what are baby looks like I think he took it as "this is our baby" so he likes to check in frequently, which is so sweet, he seems very interested!

This weeks major developments:
Hands and feet are forming

Baby's Size:
The baby is about the size of a blueberry!

Week 6

Stats
Belly - 35 inches
Weight - 146.6 lbs

How I am feeling:
This week I am mainly really tired, around 3 I feel like I have to lay down and take a nap than I can still go to bed around 9 and sleep through the night (if granted that rare opportunity). Along with the laziness comes an increased appetite which I think has very little to do with the baby and more to do with me being lazy and not staying quite as busy which allows for more eating opportunities. (plus Josh had a tendency to spoil me when I'm pregnant, so I get about anything I ask for (food wise) expect for last night when I demanded a Giovanni's pizza bread and he couldn't make that happen, but we are going to the store today to get the ingredients to try.

Thoughts:
I am starting to become less concerned with the sex of the baby and more concerned with space for the baby. Our apartment is very small and when I picture all the stuff the baby will use (swing, bouncy chair, play pin, bassinet, changing table, and various other stuff) I get a little nervous and in the mood to get rid of anything I don't feel is a necessity. The baby won't be here for 8 months but it feels like I am just ignoring the issue if I do nothing to try to prepare and make more space, however short of moving or having some construction workers come in I don't think more space is something that I can control, so I am trying to make peace with it! (we will see how that goes :-/ )

Dylan:
I think he will get excited when he can actually see my stomach getting larger (from baby not Taco Bell) and be able to feel it kick and see the ultrasound and all those fun things. Right now the biggest issue is teaching him to be careful near my stomach (for good practice) and my chest which feels like it is always exploding. I never realized how much we wrestle and jump around and play, so not kicking me and jumping onto my belly has been more of an issue than we realized. But he understands. Sometimes he does it on purpose (which is a whole other issue) but he's a good boy and although he is very confused and thinks that in 8 months (or when it snows, which is the timeline we gave him) that I will poop the baby out, never the less I think he will be excited!

This weeks major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that we will spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape.

Baby's Size: 1/4 of an inch - (about the size of a lentil bean)

5 Weeks

Stats
Belly - 34 inches
Weight - 145.8 lbs

How I am feeling:

So far so good! Just like with Dylan I have had no morning sickness and I feel great. When I found out I was pregnant I immediately start taking better care of myself by eating better and trying to rest more, get in my exercise and take all my vitamins, so I think I feel better now then I did 3 months ago.

Thoughts:

I wish so badly that we knew the sex of the baby. Somehow by knowing the sex it makes it seems more real and allows me to picture the baby in our lives more easily. As most parents would tell you, all we want is a happy healthy baby, but I think secretly we both would like to have a girl since we already have our boy, but either way, we are thrilled to be parents again it's been a long time coming!!

Dylan:

Dylan has taken the news very lightly, we read a book about being a big brother and he seems very excited, but not in comparison. For example, we told Dylan we were having a baby and he smiled and said. "yeah", but then the next day we told him we would getting a new couch and he was extactic..lol...jumping up and exclaiming "WE ARE GETTING A NEW COUCH!!!! YES!!!". So given the choice at this point I think he would take the couch..lol.
